IE8 is broken and fixed at the same time.

Some members have mentioned that they are having trouble viewing various websites while using Microsoft’s newest browser, Internet Explorer 8. Microsoft’s claim is that some websites were designed for older browsers and therefore may not render correctly in their NEW IE8 browser. Of course there are many NEW browsers that render these pages exactly as the designer intended but that is the subject of another post.

Microsoft’s IE8 does have a solution for these OLDER web pages. It’s called “compatibility view”. Compatibility view basically make IE8 render a web page as if it were IE7. In a perfect world Microsoft would simply make a browser that worked in its standard mode but at least there is a solution.
