Stamps, Envelopes and Checks, Oh My!

It’s the first of the month…..to most this is a sad reminder of another episode of bill paying hassle. Time to find the old checkbook, check register (yes, these are still in print), envelopes, and stamps (who can keep up with the price?)! Gather all those bills together with yourself and hopefully not too many distractions and let the fun begin. Meanwhile trying to balance the checkbook and remembering to get those bills out the door! Ever find a collection of bills in your car above the visor just waiting on stamps that you meant to pick up but forgot till it was too late? You paid a small fortune in late fees and increased interest rates after that for sure! What about those less than friendly collection letters reminding you they are still in need of payment?

Do you find yourself saying:

“I thought I paid that?”
“My husband must not have written that down in the checkbook register”
“Not another late fee!”

Ever feel like you could use some back up? If you know this dilemma or even if you are just looking to streamline the process our Online24 and Bill Pay services are here to help you! All you need is your login id and pin number which you choose at any branch. We can even save you a trip by mailing it right to your home if you call to let us know!

It’s so convenient to do your bills with just a few clicks (24 hrs a day) minus the need for those expensive stamps! We even have that back up you needed with our bill pay guarantee. This will reimburse you up to 50 dollars in fees for any payment that does not get received by the payee as long as you schedule it before the due date! You don’t get that luxury if the post office loses you’re payment! The majority of our payments only require one day for payment turn around.

The recurring payments feature means time saving for months in advance! Our site is safeguarded with the latest in fraud protection. Once logged in you can immediately see balances, pending ACH transactions, make transfers and start entering those payees all for free! I really do like BillPay, but I love Online 24. What I love is that the BillPay is already included. I remember when a certain large b–k I used for many years started their internet banking/bill pay and not only did they want to charge to use it, but they made it hard to access. It was a little confusing on what the differences were between PC and Internet banking – but TVFCU has solved that and never let it be a problem for the member! My recommendation would be a feature that provides SMS or email notification when your account balances reach or drop below an amount of your choosing. That would be even more peace of mind!

Actually Jason, you can set specific amounts in bill pay to be emailed/notified about regarding your payments currently! Go to your View/Edit payees selection, choose your payee and then scroll down to click and set limits for each payee as you wish. The notifications for inside your account balances on Online24 is a future enhancement that is under development now!

      Thanks for the comment!

I have been using TVFCU’s Bill Payer for so long I don’t even remember the last time I wrote a check and sent it via ’snail mail’. It is by far the easiest thing I do all month and I have an immediate track record so I can check to see when the bill was sent. With the CU’s Bill Pay, E Banking and debit card there isn’t any need to write checks for anything or carry much cash. It’s great plus it’s FREE! Don’t know what I would do without them!
